Job Description

We are looking for an Elementary Reading Specialist to join our District. This position is to help plan reading program for individual students and for groups of students; to help implement programs for students in classroom; to consult with teachers, Building Principals; school psychologist, school social worker, school speech therapist, parents or guardians; to evaluate reading materials; to help plan any corrective and remedial programs and plan programs that best meet the needs of the students.

Job Qualifications

We are looking for qualified candidates who leads with kindness, professionalism, thoughtfulness, integrity, strength, and compassion as well as someone who can clearly articulate a vision for our elementary school that aligns with our mission and goals

• New York State Certification, appropriate to assigned area
• Familiarity with classroom routine
• Ability to establish good relationships with children and others
